Summer Camp

circusLittle Miners offers a four-week Summer Camp each year beginning in early July.  The program is Monday-Friday from the hours of 9:00-2:00 p.m. Campers enjoy learning weekly themes in a Montessori environment, and the cost is $200/week.

Each week encompasses a different theme.
2017 Summer Camp Themes:

Week 1: Under the Sea! July 10-14 FULL

Dive in to explore life under the sea by learning more about slippery fish, octopus, whales and more! Through nature and art projects, storytelling, skits and songs, come aboard to discover the wonders of the sea! Enjoy some wet, wild and wacky water games as we find plenty of ways to beat the summer heat!

Week 2: Master Chefs – July 17-21 FULL

Can’t keep your little one out of the kitchen? Join us for a week of cracking eggs, making cookies, cutting fruit and spreading jam! Your child will travel around the world to learn more about healthy eating and international cuisine. Throughout this week improve your culinary skills by learning basic kitchen techniques and how to read simple recipes. Bon Appetit!

Week 3: Goin’ Green – July 24-28 FULL

Make Mother Nature proud! Reuse-Reduce-Recycle! Join us for eco-friendly lessons focused on ways to keep our Earth Green. Explore the natural environment by engaging in science and art activities that help reinforce each daily message such as planting trees and veggies and creating recycled art masterpieces. Days are balanced with games and fun activities that promote wellness and health.

Week 4: The Outback– July 31-August 4  FULL

G’day, Mate! Welcome to the land “down under” – the amazing continent of Australia. This week will take us on a journey to discover dingoes, ‘roos and didgeridoos! From the Outback to the Sydney Opera House, from Bondi Beach to the Great Barrier Reef, campers will have a ball getting into the Aussie spirit during this “corker” of a week!

You may choose to sign up for 1, 2, 3 weeks or all 4.  Summers at Little Miners Montessori are a wonderful combination of learning, fun and excitement!  Children ages 3-8 are welcome to join the fun and incoming new students are especially encouraged to attend! Each child must bring a change of clothes, sunglasses, comfortable attire, a water bottle, a backpack, and a lunch.  Sunscreen should be applied before the children come to school, as we tend to spend a lot of time outdoors.  We look forward to another amazing summer camp this year!
